WELCOME TO HAKIM IDRISS ART

Hakim Idriss is a contemporary artist whose journey bridges cultures, materials, and eras. Emerging from the Parisian graffiti scene, he has transformed the raw energy of the street into a more introspective pictorial language, where gesture remains free yet charged with memory. Based in Dubai for several years, he creates works that explore Comorian roots and the experience of movement — that of letters, peoples, and ideas. Through compositions both minimal and intense, he questions the notion of heritage and the way identities are reshaped in a changing world. Between abstraction and calligraphy, each canvas becomes a symbolic landscape where rhythm reveals traces, color turns into emotion, and emptiness becomes breath. His work, exhibited in Dubai and beyond, engages with modernity without denying its origins — a bridge between memory and future, between silence and light.

The Rhythm of Abstraction

His work moves between motion and meaning. Through fluid gestures and spontaneous marks, Hakim Idriss transforms fragments of reality — silhouettes, symbols, textures — into abstract compositions. Each painting becomes a reinterpretation of form and rhythm, where energy replaces representation, and movement becomes language.
